About Urban Earth Advisory

Urban Earth Advisory helps owners and developers make better building decisions from the very first step. We combine building physics, regenerative land design, and financial intelligence into a single advisory practice focused on measurable comfort, resilience, and long-term operational performance.

Our mission is to unite land systems, envelope performance, and owner-side leadership so projects start clear, stay aligned, and deliver results that traditional approaches miss.

What We Stand For

We believe every building should deliver measurable comfort, durability, resilience, and financial performance. Our approach integrates building science, regenerative site strategy, and owner-side project leadership to ensure decisions are made with clarity — not guesswork.

Passive House & High-Performance Expertise

We use high-resolution modeling of comfort, humidity, loads, air quality, and enclosure performance. This lets us evaluate materials, assemblies, and mechanical systems early — reducing risk and optimizing comfort while lowering operational costs.

Permaculture & Site Ecology

With professional permaculture certification, we analyze climate, hydrology, solar access, shading, wind, soil, and long-term stewardship. This ensures each project is grounded in what the land can naturally support — reducing site risk and improving long-term ecological value.

Owner’s Representative Perspective

30+ years in capital markets and real-estate investment allow us to align scope, budget, comfort, and lifecycle performance from day one. We protect owner priorities and keep teams synchronized, reducing surprises and increasing certainty.

Passive House & High-Performance Expertise

We quantify energy, comfort, risk, and operating costs using proven building-physics and financial modeling. Owners get actionable insights that turn design choices into long-term measurable results.

Meet David Komet

David brings a rare blend of building-science expertise, regenerative land design, and institutional-level financial strategy. His work unites Passive House performance, ecological site intelligence, and real-world development experience into a single advisory practice focused on measurable outcomes.

Before founding Urban Earth Advisory, David spent decades in capital markets, chaired audit and finance committees for major institutions, and managed real-estate developments requiring precision across design, construction, and lifecycle performance.

He has completed graduate-level work in green building and community sustainability, adding academic rigor to his technical and financial background. This training strengthens his ability to integrate land systems, envelope performance, renewable strategies, and long-term community resilience into projects across Texas.

Combined with his Professional Permaculture Certification and Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) credential, David approaches each project through a lens that blends:

  • building physics

  • regenerative land design

  • climate-specific strategy

  • risk management

  • long-term operational performance

Owners rely on his ability to simplify complex choices, remove risk early, and ensure every decision supports comfort, resilience, and financial clarity.
